Communications Group U12 Petite C Kraze Earns Silver at Provincials
The Communications Group Petite C Kraze won 4 out of 5 games at the Provincial Championship Ringette Tournament in Chestermere over the weekend. In round robin play the Kraze won all three games, downing the Northwest Calgary Blizzards 14-2, Lacombe Synergy 10-9, and the Edmonton Herricanes 11-0.
Kallie Loewen scored 6 goals against the Blizzards, Lizzy Cundict had 5, while Sarah Koopmans, Tori Hoppus and Charlotte Janes added singles. Cundict scored 4 goals including the overtime winner against Synergy. Loewen added 3, while Hailey Senger, Clare Heidinger and Koopmans had singles. Loewen fired 8 goals against the Herricanes, with Cundict, Senger and Janes scoring one each. Sally Buzzing recorded the shut-out.
In the semi-final game the Kraze topped the Calgary Bowview Funky Monkeys 9-1. Cundict and Loewen each scored 4 goals and Alison Harman had one. The winning streak came to an end in the gold medal game where Lacombe Synergy downed the Kraze 14-6. Harman and Koopmans each scored twice for the Kraze, with Cundict and Loewen adding single markers.
It was a stellar season for the Kraze as they won all 4 tournaments they entered and now they have taken home the silver medal from the Provincial Championships.

2009 Receipts for Income Tax Purposes - Child Fitness Tax Credit
If you registered your child online or in person with the City of Red Deer, then you must visit a City of Red Deer facility ie Collicutt Centre, Recreation Centre or City Hall and they will print your receipt for your child that you can then use to claim the Child Fitness Tax Credit. If you registered directly with Red Deer Ringette then please email the treasurer for a copy of your receipt for income tax purposes.

All nominations for the above positions must be received by the RDR Secretary prior to March 13th 2010. Nominations must be proposed and seconded by a member of RDR (parent or guardian of a registered player under 18 years of age in the 2009-2010 season).
